Original Dudley stove

Post by RMS » Thu Apr 11, 2013 9:54 am

There is an original stove for sale on Ebay HERE.
These are the original stoves as fitted to the Carawagons, and according to the seller, to Dormobile as well.

So, if anyone has a missing stove or a later replacement and wants originality, this might be one to go for

I saw that one, it is not a Dormobile item, he must mean Carawagon... Goes on the back door, same as the other garden shed tops :neener:

'Bessy' 1965 2.25 88" diesel
'Daisy' 1958 2.25 88" diesel

A gas stove is a gas stove is a gas stove :neener:

No better or worse, I would have thought, than a later Camping Gaz stove or any other manufacturer.
However, a Camping Gaz stove wouldn't really look right in a 1960s camper, whereas the Dudley does

Not all Carawagons had the stove on the back door - two of ours have while the other two are in the top of cabinets. However, they are the same stoves (Dudley) whether they were adapted for door use or cabinet use.

Looks in good nick!

I won't be in a hurry to place a bid - I have the luxury of a Calor B600 oven :gold:

It had a Buy it Now price of £25 - I'm assuming someone used that to buy it.

That's my guess - I was hoping it'd go for less.
