New Propex heater on ebay

Post by RMS » Fri Jul 19, 2013 1:48 pm

I know our current UK 30+C temperatures mean we put the thought of night heaters to the back of our minds, but perhaps it might be a good time to buy?

Theres a seller on Ebay selling brand new Propex heaters - these run on propane/butane (from your cooking gas bottle) and can be mounted under the floor and the hot air ducted to wherever.

The price is good for a brand new one (£594) with 12 month warranty - Eberspacher & Webasto Diesel/petrol powered ones go for up to £2-400 for second hand ones with no warranty and £1200+ for new ones :aaagh:

It is a lot of money, but the convenience of being able to switch on what is effectively a fan heater whenever you want, and even run it all night if needed, does cost  There's nothing better than getting out of bed to a warm cabin with thick frost or even snow on the outside :gold:

Note that Steve (nearest) failed to get his Eberspacher running due to a low battery, whereas mine (behind) was nice and cosy - cosy enough for Steve to come knocking on my door in the morning to come in for a warm :tiphat:

Anyway, if anyone is interested, the link is HERE

Note: I have no connection with the seller!

Cheers,
Robin.

He also does a unit at £100 less if you can find space inside the vehicle to mount it.

Very tempting - if it wasn't so warm outside now !

Ah, thanks for that - I didn't spot the cheaper one! Now that is a bargain

HERE

Carawagons have quite a bit of space under the bench seat, just used for storage, aux battery etc. so really easy to mount one under there and have it blowing under the bed - bliss.

Robin.
